FAITH CONNECTION

Circle of Hope

The Circle of Hope made 130+ flower arrangements in lovely small containers. They will be delivered to the Emeritus of Bradenton Assisted Living Facility at 450 67th Street West in Bradenton, Florida.
The specific date of delivery is being negotiated and once it has been chosen, the date and time will be announced during FUMC Sunday services. Volunteers are needed to deliver the flowers, but it is not about the delivery - it is about the visit.
The more volunteers we have the more people we can reach and spread God's word. You don't have to be a preacher, lay speaker or know much about anything - all you need to have is a friendly attitude, a kind word, a few minutes of quality time and a listening ear.
Please contact either Cindy Sidley (941.794.2072) or Linda Luke (941.792.1747) to volunteer, find out what donations - your trash is their treasure - and more about upcoming meetings and crafts. They'd love your craft ideas, also.
Bracelets & Crosses of Love
Linda, Cindy and Louise Richards are cancer survivors, thus this truly held special meaning for them and the individuals they visited. During the visits they shared their stories, the power of belief in God and their success at overcoming the cancer odds, which offered hope.
During their visit they delivered approximately 50 hand-made bracelets, in addition to, wood crosses that were donated by Pam Hunt. The ladies especially loved the bracelets and marveled that they were made out of paper.
Selflessly, one little lady said she'd like to give her bracelet to a friend who was in such need and wondered if it would be okay. Having no other bracelets left, Cindy told her to keep her bracelet and that she would happily bring another for her to pass on with God's love to her friend. This brought tears of happiness to both Cindy and the little lady's eyes.
Linda, Cindy and Louise said they were overwhelmed at how moving the experience was for them personally and are going to return at the request of those they met. It was a emotionally fulfilling day for all.
If you too would like to be filled with such peace, joy and happiness - call Cindy or Linda today.
Special Thanks To You!
The Circle of Hope supplies the talent, but talent is for not if there aren't any supplies. It is because of all the generous donations (from boxes full to a single silk flower) that these worthy projects are indeed possible. Albeit the silk flowers, flower vases, small containers, beads, elastic string, etc. it all added up to a special gift and memory for someone who really needed it. Thank-you!
This Circle Is Open - Not Broken!
The Circle of Hope is open to anyone who has an interest in crafts and/or doing something super easy for other. You don't have to have any craft experience or talent - string cutters, flower pickers, foam stuffers, etc. are an important part of craft making, too!
Circle of Hope is open to guests, friends, and the community. You do not have to attend or be a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
By the way, you can be in more than one circle and there's not even a conflict with meeting times!
